"Over one hundred people are in this panel of John Brown being captured by Marines at Harper's Ferry. More research was made available for this subject than any of the others. A large loose leaf notebook was filled with all sorts of data. I visited the site in the company of a knowledgeable museum staffer who not only knew the subject, but posed in a re-creation uniform as well. The Marines had more of a problem keeping the crowd in check than punching a hole in the door and capturing Brown. Of course, Jeb Stuart, plumed hat and all, is not happy. He wanted to run the show, but civilian-clad Robert E. Lee, sans gray beard, let the Marines perform. USMC Lieutenant Green carries a bent sword. Researchers swear it looked like a bent paper clip after slashing Brown over the neck, and bent when the buckle on Brown's cartridge belt deflected a death stroke."
